Active Armed Offender and IED Response Training Program

This course has been specifically designed for organisations looking to prepare their workforce for the threat of an active armed offender or IED incident. Developed in line with Australia’s national security guidelines and the Escape–Hide–Tell framework, the program equips staff at all levels with the knowledge and confidence to respond decisively in a critical event.
Participants will learn to recognise warning signs, apply proven survival strategies, coordinate with emergency services, and support organisational lockdown and evacuation procedures. The course also covers prevention and preparedness, helping organisations build a strong security culture and meet their duty of care obligations.
Delivered through hands-on, scenario-based exercises including tabletop drills, role-play, and communication simulations, this program goes beyond theory to build real-world readiness. Participants are assessed through a knowledge quiz and practical evaluation, with a certificate issued upon completion.
Available as an online course or delivered face-to-face at your premises, this program is suitable for corporate offices, retail environments, venues, places of worship, transport hubs, and any organisation responsible for the safety of staff and visitors in crowded places.
